Guernica for the Species 2026

A nod to Picasso’s Guernica and my interdisciplinary practice as an artist exploring ecological themes gave me the idea for ‘Guernica for the Species’ - a battle of all species loaded with the fight for survival. Using shadow puppetry, an ancient form of storytelling and entertainment, I set out to give this painting the energy and survival weight of Picasso’s masterpiece.
